'The Little Things- How to Update your Kitchen Without Starting Over

There is a major misconception that in order to update your kitchen or any room in the home you have to start from scratch. Well it does not have to be that way. If you have any serious water damage to your cabinetry or walls then we would recommend a complete do-over to avoid problems down the track but if you just want to give your home a fresh look we have some great ideas!

Change the Taps

Something so little can make such a big difference! Taps wear, they start to drip and can look very old fashioned. At the moment the 1/4 turn lollypop taps are a winner to bring that sleek modern touch to your sink.

Change the Door and Handles

Fresh bright colours for your doors automatically brings the wow factor back to your kitchen. At the moment something that is really on trend is ditching the handles- they aren't necessary when there are finger pull or push draws and cabinets. They can look out of place and, more often than not, get in the way. The more efficient your workspace is the better.

Update your appliances

So simple! Making all of your appliances the same brand and look adds a whole new dimension to your kitchen, modernising and bringing an added shine to your room. Yes appliances can get expensive to change over, but they are an investment that is built to last you for an extended period.

Accessory Update

This one is a bit of a no brainer- styles change and that includes the accessories you have in your kitchen. Keep you kitchen up to date with splashes of the seasons colours. This includes a simple change of plates, cups, tea towels, or even curtains.
